Addictions and Mental Health Planning and Advisory Committee (AMHPAC) - NEW
This new meeting and structure renews the focus of our advisory groups to be more effective and the reinvigorate the council's role in addictions and mental health processes.
Over the last two years, the Addictions and Mental Health Division (AMH) has been engaged in restructuring how we do business. This work could not have been done, without the invaluable input and guidance from our stakeholders. AMH is committed to continuing this effective communication and collaboration moving forward.
With this in mind, AMH gathered feedback and recommendations from the existing advisory groups about how the advisory activities could be used more effectively and efficiently. These recommendations, along with the needs of AMH System Change, Health System Transformation and guidance from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) led AMH in creating the Addictions and Mental Health Planning and Advisory Council (AMHPAC). This new structure renews the focus of our advisory groups to be more effective and to reinvigorate the council’s role in addictions and mental health processes. AMHPAC replaces the Behavioral Health Planning & Advisory Council (BHPAMAC) and the Adult Services Advisory Committee (ASAC).
